Job Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist processes and maintains accounts payable records.  This position is based at the Halmar International corporate office located in Nanuet, New York.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Heavy data entry in the accounting system.
  • Prepare and mail checks to vendors.
  • Reconcile vendor statements.
  • Handle various Union reports.
  • Communicate with vendors as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-5 years related experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Proficient Computer Skills-All Microsoft Applications-Excel a must.
  • Excellent verbal communication. Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of invoices, phone calls, and emails Confidentiality.
