Work in Progress – Park Avenue Viaduct Replacement, 115th St to 123rd St completed

Our Park Avenue Viaduct Replacement Project has reached a big milestone this past weekend! During the weekend of October 3rd 2025, our team completed Phase 1 of the PAV, replacing the substructure and superstructure of the Viaduct from 115th Street to 123rd Street on Park Avenue. We want to congratulate entire Park Ave team, that has been working around the clock getting the project to 51 months ahead of schedule and $93 million dollars under budget, with the complex task of keeping MNR operations and commuters moving without disruptions! At Halmar, we always take great pride in our innovative solutions, and this project is no different. One of our innovative construction approaches is hard not to notice, with three 60ft tall Mi-Jack Products gantries that span the viaduct, used to pick the 132-year-old structure and place the new prefabricated bridge units in place. 19 Bridge Replacement Outages Weekends since June 2024 and 128 individual sections of track later, the southern section of the project is now complete.

The video highlights the weekend work from earlier this summer, when the project had three gantries in play at the same time!
