Halmar Wins ASCE National Capital Section Project of the Year Award

Halmar receives the project of the year award by ASCE National Capital Section for our Potomac Yard Metrorail Station.

We are excited to announce that the WMATA Potomac Yard Metrorail Station built by the Potomac Yard Constructors JV (a joint venture between Halmar International and Schiavone) has been honored with the prestigious 2024 ASCE National Capital Section – Civil Engineering Project of the Year Award.

The award-winning project, Potomac Yard Metrorail Station in Alexandria, VA, provides additional Metrorail access between Alexandria and the DC region. The team built a brand new fully ADA compliant station, two new pavilions, three pedestrian bridges, installed ten new elevators and the station has become the first station in North America to receive a LEED certification.
