Van Wyck Expressway – Superweekend #2

Work in Progress at Halmar on our NYSDOT Van Wyck Expressway project. Super weekend #2, October 27th to 29th 2023, where we removed two LIRR Main Line Superstructures over the Van Wyck Expressway and replaced them with new spans on the same weekend. The team worked next to live LIRR trains coming into and out of Jamaica Station. North Bound and South Bound vehicular traffic is maintained adjacent to the work site utilizing the SB side of the Van Wyck. This is the second successful super weekend the team has had this year.
